A global coach training and leadership development organization.
We train coaches and develop leaders through programs that integrate the rigor of behavioral science with the depth of contemplative practice.
Most coach training programs teach skills. Few develop the person.
That gap is what led Ram S. Ramanathan — a former CEO, leadership advisor, and one of Asia’s first ICF Master Certified Coaches — to co-found Coacharya in 2013 with Pranav S. Ramanathan. Drawing on seventy years of combined executive and coaching experience, they built an organization grounded in the belief that coaching must go deeper than technique. It must develop presence, self-awareness, and ethical grounding — the qualities that make coaching actually work.
What started in Bengaluru has grown into a global coach training and leadership development organization working across industries, geographies, and cultures.
Coaching, at its best, is not a set of techniques applied to someone. It is a relationship — one in which the coach’s own awareness, presence, and integrity matter as much as their skill. We believe the quality of a coach is inseparable from the quality of the person.
That belief shapes everything we do. Our programs don’t begin with frameworks and models. They begin with self-inquiry — understanding your own patterns, assumptions, and blind spots before you sit across from someone else. We draw on contemplative traditions that have explored human awareness for thousands of years, and we ground that exploration in evidence-based behavioral science. Neither tradition is complete on its own. Together, they produce coaches and leaders who are not just competent, but deeply aware of who they are and how they show up.
This is what we mean by transformation. Not a dramatic before-and-after, but an ongoing deepening — of attention, of empathy, of the capacity to hold space for another person’s growth without imposing your own agenda.

We don't coach to fix problems. We coach to help people see themselves more clearly, lead more intentionally, and grow in ways that last.

Before you can coach others well, you have to know yourself. Our programs start with the inner work — mindset, emotional intelligence, presence — because that's where lasting change begins.

We integrate contemplative practices with evidence-based behavioral models — not as a gimmick, but because both traditions have something essential to offer.

Integrity, confidentiality, and respect for the client are foundational to everything we do — not policies we comply with, but values we practice.
