Frequently
asked questions

What is the difference between the ICF credential levels?

The ICF offers three individual coaching credentials: Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and Master Certified Coach (MCC). Each requires a progressively higher number of training hours, coaching experience hours, and demonstrated competency. Coacharya’s Level 1, 2, and 3 programs align precisely with these three credential levels.

No prior coaching experience is required for the Coaching Essentials Program or Level 1 (ACC) program. For Level 2 (PCC), we recommend holding or being in progress toward an ACC credential. Level 3 (MCC) requires active PCC status. Our admissions team will advise on the right starting point for your background.

All programs are delivered live online via video conferencing, in real-time cohort sessions. This allows participants from anywhere in the world to attend. Sessions are scheduled to accommodate multiple time zones where possible, and recordings are made available for catch-up.

Program duration varies by level. The Coaching Essentials Program typically runs 6–8 weeks. Level 1 spans approximately 6 months, Level 2 around 8–10 months, and Level 3 is typically a 12-month commitment. Short programs range from a single day to 6 weeks depending on the topic.

Program fees generally include all live training sessions, learning materials, access to our online platform, mentor coaching hours, and a certificate of completion. ICF credential application fees are managed separately through the ICF. Please contact our admissions team for a detailed breakdown of what is included in your chosen program.
